How is probate different from other areas of law?
Probate law is governed by states and counties. Probate courts are often placed under the direction of the civil court system, but with separate courts and judges along with legal filing requirements and procedures. Jury trials are not available to claimants, and attorneys presenting at court are specialized to probate law and litigation.
